Santa Ana <br /> Community <br /> Artist(a) <br /> Coalition <br /> About the Santa Ana Community Artist(a) Coalition <br /> Mission Statement: <br /> The mission of the Santa Ana Community Artist(a) Coalition is to connect local artists to their <br /> communities in a collaborative process to create art that transforms public spaces, generates <br /> civic engagement, and promotes personal and social change, <br /> Background: <br /> Founded in June 2013, SACAC is a grassroots collective that brings together artists, educators, <br /> and community organizers to create socially engaged public art in Santa Ana. Our coalition has: <br /> • Produced numerous murals and installations across the city <br /> • Developed community art curriculum and oral history initiatives <br /> • Advocated for citywide policy and funding for public art preservation <br /> • Partnered with the City of Santa Ana, the Santa Ana Unified School District, <br /> neighborhood associations, local business, developers, residents and statewide funders <br /> Confidentiality and Collaboration <br /> All documentation and consultation services will be coordinated with MuralColors and City of <br /> Santa Ana staff.
