(9) <br />I. SCOPE OF WORK <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Contractor shall perform scope of work as set forth below and in accordance with <br />ATTACHMENT A. <br />A. GENERAL DESCRIPTION <br />The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency — Water Resources Division oversees and <br />maintains the daily operations of the Water System and Sanitary Sewer System. The <br />City's water system has an average daily demand of about 30 million gallons (MG) with <br />45,000 service connections. It is comprised of approximately 478 miles of water main, 45 <br />MG of storage at five (5) sites, seven (7) MWD connections, 21 groundwater wells, seven <br />(7) pump stations, four (4) pressure regulating stations and utilizes two (2) pressure zones. <br />The City is soliciting competitive bids from qualified Contractors to provide <br />electrical improvements through the purchase and installation of an electrical <br />panel and its appurtenances located at 220 S Daisy Ave Santa Ana ("City <br />Yard" or "Corporate Yard").The work involves the complete removal of the existing <br />2000 Amp main service panel/switchboard and its appurtenance along with the <br />furnishing and installation of a new 4000 Amp main service panel/switchboard, rated <br />277/480V 3-Phase. The scope includes, but is not limited to, providing and installing all <br />necessary service entrance conductors, conduits, main circuit breaker, grounding <br />electrode system, bonding, terminations, panels, structures (switch & transformer pad), <br />trench, and metering provisions as required by Southern California Edison (SCE), <br />and associated appurtenances necessary to successfully install and commission <br />the new 4000 Amp Main Service Panel/Switchboard for re-energization by SCE including <br />back feeding existing switchgear as necessary during installation. Removal of 6" curb, <br />clearing and grubbing per 2021 Green Book Section 300- for the placement of new <br />concrete slab to grade. <br />The project scope includes the need for the replacement of one (1) electrical pole <br />and furnishing a new class 3 electrical pole. <br />All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the latest adopted editions of: <br />• State of California Construction Safety Order (CAL/OSHA) <br />• ASNI C2, National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) <br />• National Electrical Code (NEC) <br />• Southern California Edison's (SCE) Electrical Service Requirements (ESR) <br />Manual and Underground Structure Standards (UGS). <br />Applicable Codes of local authorities having lawful jurisdiction pertaining to the <br />work required. <br />City of Santa Ana IFB No. 25-075 Page 3 of 25 <br />
