The CBC is updated every three years and <br />provides minimum standards to protect property <br />and public safety by regulating the design and <br />construction of excavations, foundations, building <br />frames, retaining walls, and other building <br />elements to mitigate the effects of seismic shaking <br />and adverse soil conditions.
