Chairperson Macres <br />• Mentioned that 801 North Main is a very nice building, which he visited <br />recently to see Bill Medley. <br />• As an Elks Club member, Chairperson Macres mentioned that he has <br />spoken to others about "Saddleback" and it is felt that they do not <br />need such a large place. Mrs. Whitaker stated that the City has not <br />entertained any discussion on purchasing it because of a current <br />longer-term lease, the cost to relocate the tenants, and the difficulty of <br />tearing it down. Discussion continued about anon-profit possibly <br />purchasing the property. <br />• Asked about the procedure to relocate the Commission meetings. <br />Mrs. Storck stated that the Bylaws would need to be amended if the <br />Commission was to have future meetings in the 2"d Floor Conference <br />Room of City Hall and the availability of the conference room would <br />need to be arranged. Commissioner Sarmiento mentioned that he <br />prefers to hold the meetings in the Council Chambers to give better <br />access to the public. <br />• Thanked Kathe Head for her presentation on redevelopment.
