PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />There were no public comments. <br />8, STAFF MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Pat Whitaker <br />• Reported that the Community Workshop presentation will be <br />agendized for a future meeting. <br />• Reported that Crevier is moving ahead following its excellent ground <br />breaking event on February 3 and hoped that some of the Commission <br />members were able to attend. <br />• Mentioned that the NexuslSandpointe neighborhood plan agreement <br />will be signed soon and then the project can move forward. <br />• And that the Mola project has been approved by Planning Commission <br />and will soon proceed to Council. <br />• Informed the Commission that it is possible that the CDBG program if <br />eliminated from the FY 06-07 federal budget, which would be a major <br />loss to the city. <br />9. COMMISSION MEMBER COMMENTS <br />Commissioner Turner <br />• Gave thanks for the nomination and election as the next Vice <br />Chairperson of the Commission. <br />• Mentioned his surprise that the Nexus agreement had not been signed <br />yet and that he is very excited to have such a project in the area. <br />Commissioner Rodriquez <br />• Congratulated staff for the three Community Workshops held <br />recently, especially for their good responses to all the questions <br />asked by the attendees. Commissioner Rodriguez requested copies <br />of the PowerPoint presentation or if possible, to have Mike Linares <br />make a presentation to the Commission. He also requested a <br />summary of the questions and answers resulting from the meetings. <br />• Mentioned that he was happy the Commission was able to recognize <br />Kathy Abelar for her service as recording secretary. <br />CRHC MINUTES 7 ~EBRLlARY 75, 2005 <br />
