Trump, the City Council voted 6-0 (Councilmember <br />Hernandez absent) to join an amicus brief to be filed by the City of Los Angeles. <br />• Item No. 1 B, Share Our Selves Corporation v. City of Santa Ana, United States <br />District Court Case No. 8:23-cv-00504-DOC-KES, the City Council voted 6-1 <br />(Councilmember Bacerra dissenting), to settle the case for $550,000. <br />• Item No. 1 C, Paloma Ortiz v. City of Santa Ana, et al., Orange County Superior <br />Court Case No. 30-2023-01348523-CU-WT-CJC, the City Council voted 6-0 <br />(Councilmember Hernandez absent), to settle the case for $85, 000. <br />• Item Nos. 1D and IE,: In re: Purdue Pharma L.P. et al., United States <br />Bankruptcy Court (S.D. NY) Case No. 19-23649 (SHL) and In re National <br />Prescription Opiate Litigation, United States District Court Case No. 1:17-md- <br />2804 (MDL No. 2804), the City Council voted 6-0 (Councilmember Hernandez <br />absent) to opt into a settlement and to waive certain claims for the acceptance <br />of settlement funds which are anticipated to be hundreds of thousands of <br />dollars incoming into the City. <br />CITY COUNCIL 5 SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 <br />
