**END OF CONSENT CALENDAR** <br /> <br />BUSINESS CALENDAR <br /> <br />MINUTES: At 8:03 P.M., the Business Calendar was considered. <br /> <br />19. Approve the Naming of Park Located at the Southwest Corner of the <br />Intersection of Bristol and Tolliver Streets (712 S. Bristol Street) (Continued <br />from the Regular City Council meeting of September 16, 2025, Item No. 9) <br />Department(s): Planning and Building Agency, Parks, Recreation, and Community <br />Services <br />Recommended Action: Affirm the Planning Commission’s adoption of a resolution <br />approving Public Facilities No. 2025-01 naming the park located at the southwest <br />corner of Bristol Street and Tolliver Street (712 S. Bristol Street) as “Nuestro Park.” <br />MINUTES: Mayor Pro Tem Vazquez spoke regarding Salvador Quintana and <br />recommended the park be named Salvador Quintana Park. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bacerra spoke in support of the recommendation. <br /> <br />Mayor Amezcua spoke in support of the recommendation and suggested more <br />diversity in the naming of future parks. <br /> <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Vazquezmoved to name the park located at the <br />southwest corner of the intersection of Bristol and Tolliver Streets as <br />Salvador Quintana Park, seconded by Councilmember Penaloza. <br />The motion carried, 7-0, by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: COUNCILMEMBER BACERRA, COUNCILMEMBER <br /> HERNANDEZ, COUNCILMEMBER LOPEZ, <br />COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA, COUNCILMEMBER PHAN, <br />MAYOR PRO TEM VAZQUEZ, MAYOR AMEZCUA <br /> <br />NOES:NONE <br />NONE <br />ABSTAIN: <br />ABSENT: NONE <br />Status: 7– 0– Pass <br /> <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Penaloza recused himself from Agenda Item No. 20 due <br />to campaign contributions and left the dais at 8:08 P.M. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL 14 OCTOBER 7, 2025 <br /> <br />
