Re-appoint Silvia Reyes as the Southwest Senior Center representative to the <br /> Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission for a two-year term <br /> expiring October 31, 2027 and administer the Oath of Office. <br /> 2. Re-appoint Nancy Gonzalez as the Santa Ana Senior Center representative to <br /> the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission for a two-year term <br /> expiring October 31, 2027 and administer the Oath of Office. <br /> GOVERNMENT CODE §84308 APPLIES: No <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Ordinance No. NS-3049, adopted by City Council on July 18, 2023, added two <br /> additional members to the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Commission <br /> (PRCSC) to represent older adults who shall be age fifty-five (55) or older. The <br /> ordinance outlines that these additional members shall be nominated by one of the <br /> City's two senior centers and appointed by a majority vote of the City Council. <br /> Appointed members serve a term of two-years and until their respective successors are <br /> appointed or qualified and will be limited to four terms of two-years each. <br /> City Council first appointed the two representatives from the City's senior centers on <br /> October 17, 2023: Silvia Reyes from the Southwest Senior Center and David Dang from <br /> the Santa Ana Senior Center. Ms. Reyes is completing her first two-year term and is <br /> recommended for re-appointment. Mr. Dang resigned from the PRCSC in February <br /> 2024. City Council appointed Nancy Gonzales on July 1, 2025 to complete the <br />
