201 E.4th Street
, Santa Ana,CA 92701
D SMO 714.612.9227
/y jose@dtsaservices.com
S RVl, ES
August 1, 2025
City of Santa Ana
Community Development Agency
20 Civic Center Plaza
Santa Ana, CA 92701
Dear Arts and Culture Commission of Santa Ana, and to Whom It May Concern:
am writing to express my strong support for the City of Santa Ana's continued sponsorship of
the First Saturday DTSA ArtWalk program, and to commend the outstanding leadership and
stewardship provided by Logan Crow and The Frida Cinema since assuming responsibility for
the event.
Downtown Santa Ana's ArtWalk has become an integral part of our community's identity. It
celebrates local artists, enriches our cultural landscape, and brings people together in a vibrant,
inclusive environment. Beyond its artistic value, ArtWalk generates meaningful economic activity
by attracting visitors, supporting small businesses, and creating opportunities for vendors,
performers, and entrepreneurs.
Since taking over the coordination of ArtWalk, The Frida Cinema has done an exceptional job.
They have been collaborative partners, engaging with artists, local businesses, city staff, and
the broader community with professionalism and care. Their team is dependable, responsive to
community concerns, and committed to continuous improvement. Each event is organized with
creativity, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of what makes ArtWalk so special to our
community.
Logan Crow and The Frida Cinema have ensured that ArtWalk continues to thrive and grow
while ensuring that it remains accessible, family-friendly, and representative of our community's
diversity. Their thoughtful management has also enhanced the fiscal sustainability of the event,
reinforcing the City's investment and impact.
For all these reasons, I enthusiastically recommend that the City of Santa Ana select The Frida
Cinema to continue producing Downtown Santa Ana's First Saturday of the Month ArtWalk.
Doing so will ensure the program remains a strong cultural and economic asset run by an
invested and collaborative team, and it will affirm the City's support of a trusted partner doing
excellent work in and for our community.
Sincerely,
Jose Romo
