d. A statement indicating that the donor understands such donation of <br /> time is irrevocable. <br /> 3. At the close of the donation period, the department shall verify that each <br /> donating employee has accrued vacation time balances sufficient to cover <br /> the designated donation. <br /> 4. The department shall submit all approved donation authorizations for an <br /> eligible employee at one time for processing. No donation authorizations <br /> for the eligible employee will be processed after this period. However, <br /> employees who receive donations under this procedure and who exhaust all <br /> donated hours may request an additional donation period subject to the <br /> provisions of Section 10.11(A)herein. <br /> S. The City shall add the donated time to the recipient's sick leave account. <br /> 10.12 Paid Parental Leave. Employees who have completed twelve (12) months of full-time <br /> employment with the City shall be eligible for paid parental leave with pay of up to eight <br /> (8) weeks for the birth, adoption, or foster of a child. Such leave shall run concurrently <br /> with FMLA/CFRA. An employee who plans to take paid parental leave must give a <br /> reasonable notice (not less than. four (4) weeks or as soon as practicable when a four (4) <br /> week notice is not possible due to the unexpected nature of the qualifying event)before the <br /> date they intend to take the leave and the estimated duration of the leave. <br />
