ARTICLE II <br /> 2.0 PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> 2,1 It is the purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter referred to as MOU) <br /> to promote and provide for harmonious relations, cooperation and understanding between <br /> the City and employees covered by this MOU. It sets forth the full and entire understanding <br /> reached in good faith negotiations regarding the wages, hours, terms and conditions of <br /> employment of employees covered by this MOU. <br /> 2.2 Notwithstanding the following provisions of this MOU, the parties agree that they have <br /> intended nothing herein to entitle, alter, or award Civil Service rights or privileges to any <br /> employee represented by SAMA who is in the Excepted Service of the City. <br />
