City of Santa Ana California Environmental Quality Act Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration - 34 - Construction will take place between the hours of 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. The Santa Ana Municipal code has exemptions for Noise listed in Chapter 18.3, which includes construction. Construction hours are limited to Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding holidays and weekends, unless approved otherwise by the City. The City’s Municipal Code also states that noise levels must meet the criteria based on land use, as depicted in Table 3-2. The entire City of Santa Ana is designated as “Noise Zone 1”. By utilizing these values, noise levels at nearby sensitive receptors can be calculated and predicted.
