ARTICLE I <br />1.0 RECOGNITION <br />1.1 Pursuant to the provisions of the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act, Government Code Section 3500, <br />et seq., the City of Santa Ana (hereinafter called the "City") has recognized the Santa Ana <br />Police Management Association (hereinafter called the "Association") as the recognized <br />representative of the bargaining unit which includes full-time Police Department employees <br />in the sworn, "safety -member" classifications and assignments of Police Lieutenant, and <br />Police Captain, and full-time department employees in the non -sworn, "miscellaneous - <br />member" classifications and assignments of Police Communications Manager, Police <br />Administrative Budget Manager, Police Administrative Manager, Jail Administrator, <br />Correctional Manager, and Police Systems Manager. <br />3 <br />
