ARTICLE IV <br />4.0 SALARIES <br />4.1 Basic Compensation Plan. There is hereby established a basic compensation plan for all <br />members of the Association who are now employed or will in the future be employed in any <br />of the designated classifications of employment listed in this MOU. <br />4.2 Salary Schedule. The basic salary schedule, as periodically updated and published by the <br />City is comprised of five (5) steps or rate ranges of pay for sworn (CAPERS "Safety") <br />employees and five (5) steps or rate ranges of pay for non -sworn (CAPERS "Miscellaneous") <br />employees. <br />The steps within each range are identified by the letters "A" through "E" inclusive for sworn <br />(CAPERS "Safety") classifications and "AA" through "E" inclusive for non -sworn <br />(CAPERS "Miscellaneous") classifications, with Step "A" being the lowest step for sworn <br />(CAPERS "Safety") and Step "AA" being the lowest step for non -sworn (CAPERS <br />"Miscellaneous") classifications. <br />The assignment of classes to salary rate ranges during the term of this MOU is listed in <br />Exhibit A. <br />4.3 Salaries. <br />A. The base salaries of employees shall be adjusted as follows: <br />Effective the first full pay period following July 1, 2025, classifications <br />covered by this MOU shall receive a salary increase of five percent (5%). <br />2. Effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2026, employees covered by <br />this MOU shall receive a salary increase of four percent (4%). <br />3. Effective the first full pay period after July 1, 2027, employees covered by <br />this MOU shall receive a salary increase of three percent (3%). <br />4. Effective July 1, 2020, the City agrees, after implementation of the four <br />percent (4%) salary increase effective July 1, 2020, to maintain <br />approximately five percent (5%) between the classes of Top Step Sergeant <br />including all pay additives available to this classification and Police <br />Lieutenant "D" Step including Supervisory Post Additive (minimum five <br />percent (5%)) and Bilingual Pay Additive. <br />on <br />
