French), and the Thee House (1216 N. French), <br />both constructed in 1914. Both feature deep eaves, lots of triangular knee <br />braces, wide gabled porches with pergolas, and patterned shingles on the <br />second floor. The 1909 Craftsman Bungalow at 1218 N. French, called the <br />Hickox House, features ribbons of casement style windows with muntins at <br />the top. A tapered post supports the corner of the porch. The 1906 <br />,Sprague House, located at 1224 N. French, is capped with a side -facing <br />gabled roof, and features a full porch supported by large square clapboard - <br />clad pillars. The 1909 William Smith House, next door at 1230, is also <br />topped with a bellcast side -facing gabled roof with a centered dormer. ,ts <br />full front porch is also supported by large square clapboard -clad pillars. <br />The Wright Apartments, a triplex constructed in 1919 at 83 -53 N. <br />Minter, features strong Oriental and Swiss influence, square brick pillars . <br />which support the full front porch, and a two-story porch with cutout <br />openings. <br />The Harnaker House, located at 820 N. Lacy, was built in 1913. 1t i, <br />topped with a low-pitched side -facing gabled roof with deep eaves and a <br />centered dormer. Ribbons of casement windows are used throughout the <br />house. Frederick Eley designed the Craftsman Bungalow at 918 N. Lacy for <br />John Taylor in 1914. It features ribbons of casement windows with four <br />muntins in the top third of each. The 1911 Robbins House at 930 N. Lacy <br />is a particularly fine example of a Tudor -influenced Craftsman Bungalow.. <br />A pair of Airplane Craftsman Bungalows, located at 1003 and 1009 N. <br />Spurgeon St. feature multi -gabled roofs and wide eaves. <br />The nicely -detailed 1913 Dr. Whitson House, located at 301 E. Eighth <br />St. features side -facing gables and a prominent gabled dormer. The corner <br />porch is accented with arched openings, carved brackets, and a carved <br />railing. <br />Another Craftsman Bungalow with patterned shingles and ribbons of <br />casement windows is the 1914 Mitchell House at 402 Vance. <br />The 1909 Morrow House at 206 E. Washington features an attractive <br />porch with river rock piers and triangular braces accenting the side -facing <br />gabled roof. The 1908 Opp -Huff House at 323 E. Washington and the 1916 <br />Haley house next door at 327, are both good examples of Craftsman <br />architecture. <br />
