Dear Mayor and Members of the City Council, I am writing to express my strong support for Agenda Item 16 and the proposed agreement with DTSA Services for the Downtown Santa Ana Clean & Safe Program. DTSA Services provides essential Clean & Safe services that play a vital role in keeping Downtown Santa Ana clean, welcoming, and safe for residents, employees, business owners, and visitors alike. Their presence and consistency make a meaningful difference in the day-to-day experience of our downtown community. In addition to routine maintenance and safety efforts, the Clean & Safety Team is well aware of the individuals who regularly frequent the area and remains attentive to any potential vandalism or concerning activity. When issues arise, the team communicates directly with local business owners to share what they have witnessed, identify patterns, and ensure everyone is informed about what to look out for. They also coordinate with security when appropriate so situations can be handled properly and professionally. These proactive efforts foster transparency, collaboration, and trust between businesses, property owners, and service providers. A clean, well -maintained, and safe downtown is essential for supporting local businesses, encouraging economic activity, and hosting the events and cultural experiences that make Santa Ana unique. I strongly encourage the City Council to approve this item and continue its support of the Downtown Santa Ana Clean & Safe Program.
