Becerra, Alexis
From: Maria Ceja <
Sent: Tuesday, February 17, 2026 12:20 PM
To: eComment
Subject: Non-agenda item - Oppose One Broadway Plaza!
Attention: This email originated from outside of City of Santa Ana.Use caution when opening attachments or links.
Mayor and City Council Members,
I am a born and raised Santanera, urban planner, and Ward 5 resident. I am writing you all today to urge you to reject
any upcoming amendments to the One Broadway Plaza project. This project has been in the works for almost as long as
I've been alive! If it really were meant to be part of our great city, it would have happened by now.The city of Santa Ana,
especially impacted neighborhoods like Willard, Downtown, French Park, French Court, etc., deserve so much more than
to let a developer fulfill his selfish desires.
There is growing momentum of residents opposing this project. I am writing to you as part of the Neighbors Against One
Broadway Plaza. I ask that you please put your residents over private interests. This project will not benefit existing
residents, but instead caters to outside interests while pushing out people who have called Santa Ana home for
generations.
As an individual, I ask that instead of this UNNECESSARY project,we instead use this as an opportunity to reimagine
open space in our city on a lot that has been sitting empty for nearly 30 years. Let's do better for our currents residents
and future generations.
Kindest regards,
Maria Ceja
1
