Ordinance No. NS-XXX <br />Page 31 of 49 <br />(22) Courtyard Housing: See 'Building Types' <br /> <br />(23) Craft and specialized automotive restoration service: A specialized <br />business or commercial enterprise occurring inside of a fully-enclosed structure <br />that focuses on repairing and restoring older cars, often considered "collector cars" <br />as defined by the State; which includes (1) a vehicle model 35+ years old, (2) a <br />vehicle model 25+ years old with historic plates, or (3) a vehicle model classified <br />as a special interest vehicle. Such restoration services return these types of <br />vehicles to their original condition, including mechanical components, paint and <br />bodywork, and interior, aiming to preserve their historical authenticity and aesthetic <br />appeal. <br /> <br />(24) Doctor, dentist, chiropractor, etc. office: A facility other than a hospital where <br />medical, dental, mental health, surgical, and/or other personal health care ser- <br />vices are provided on an outpatient basis, and that accommodates no more than <br />four licensed primary practitioners (for example, chiropractors, medical doctors, <br />psychiatrists, etc., other than nursing staff) within an individual office suite. <br /> <br />(25) Duplex, Triplex and Quadplex: See 'Building Types' <br /> <br />(26) Dwelling Unit Types: <br /> <br />a. Apartment: A rental version of a Flat, Loft, or Townhouse. <br />b. Condominium: An ownership version of a Flat, Loft or Townhouse <br />c. Flat: A single-story unit. <br />d. Loft: A double-story height unit with a mezzanine. <br />e. Townhouse: A two to three-story unit. <br /> <br />(27) Elevation (Building): The exterior walls of a building. Also referred to as <br />'Facade' when the elevation is along a frontage line. <br /> <br />(28) Entrance (Main or Primary): The principal point of access of pedestrians to <br />a building. In the support of pedestrian activity, the main or primary entrance <br />should be oriented to the frontage rather than to the parking. <br /> <br />Extended Care: Residential facilities providing nursing and health-related care as <br />a primary use with in-patient beds. Examples of these uses include: board and <br />care homes; convalescent and rest homes; extended care facilities; and skilled <br />nursing facilities.
