Finance and Management Services <br />www.santa-ana.org/finance <br />Item # 11 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, CA 92701 <br />Staff Report <br />March 3, 2026 <br />TOPIC: Citywide Uniform Rental and Workplace Solutions Services <br />AGENDA TITLE <br />Agreement with Cintas Corporation No. 3 for Uniform Rental and Workplace Solutions <br />Services (Specification No. 25-035) (General Fund & Non -General Fund) <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with Cintas Corporation No. 3 to <br />provide Uniform Rental and Workplace Solution Services in an amount not to exceed <br />$858,000 for a term beginning March 3, 2026, and expiring March 2, 2028, with provisions <br />for three (3), one-year extensions (Agreement A-2026-XXX). <br />GOVERNMENT CODE 484308 APPLIES: No <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Purchasing Division establishes annual Citywide agreements with vendors that <br />provide goods and services required by multiple City departments on a recurring basis. <br />In accordance with the City's general employee Memorandum of Understanding, clean <br />uniforms are provided to all employees who are required by the City to wear uniforms <br />according to their job classification. Additionally, safety mats are highly encouraged in <br />heavy traffic areas of City Hall and other City owned locations in order to minimize any <br />potential risk of fall and injury. The rental and workplace solutions provided by Cintas <br />Corporation includes the weekly laundering of garments and safety mats, along with pick- <br />up and drop-off services. <br />Santa Ana Ordinance No. NS-3041 authorizes the City to purchase contracts from any <br />public agency utilizing a competitive bid process. Omnia, a cooperative government <br />purchasing agency, awarded a contract to Cintas Corporation (Contract No. 001299) for <br />uniform rental and workplace solutions as a result of open, competitive bidding, and <br />meets the City's requirements. Staff researched available procurement options and <br />product offerings in the market and determined that the uniform rental and workplace <br />solutions provided by Cintas Corporation ensures City staff with guaranteed weekly <br />uniform and safety mat cleaning services, along with a high level of customer service. <br />
