2026-004 - Amendment to General Plan Land for Property at 1801 E Chestnut Avenue

The City of Santa Ana is the Lead Agency for the project pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15367. The ISIMND and MMRP were circulated for public review in accordance with CEQA requirements, and the City Council has independently reviewed and considered the environmental documentation prior to taking action on this resolution. Based on the whole of the administrative record, including the Initial Study, Mitigated Negative Declaration, and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program, the City Council finds that the proposed Project will not have a significant effect on the environment with implementation of the adopted mitigation measures, and hereby adopts the ISIMND and MMRP, attached hereto for reference as Exhibit B, in conjunction with approval of this resolution. Section 6. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, after conducting the public hearing, hereby approves GPA No. 2025-01. The amendments to the General Plan are attached hereto as Exhibit A and incorporated herein by this reference as though fully set forth herein. This decision is based upon the evidence submitted at the above said hearing, which includes, but is not limited to: the Request for Planning Commission Action dated February 9, 2026, the Requestfor Council Action dated March 3, 2026, and exhibits attached hereto; and the public testimony, written and oral, all of which are incorporated herein by this reference. Section 7. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon the signing of this Resolution by the City Council and the City Clerk shall attest to and certify this the vote adopting this Resolution.
