Public Works <br />• Funding supported replanting and irrigation improvements of barren meaians <br />throughout the City including Bristol Street, First Street, Edinger Avenue, Raitt <br />Street, Grand Avenue, totaling approximately 2.5 miles. <br />• Maintain year-round operation of at least two pothole repair trucks, improving <br />response times. <br />• Improved traffic signals (MacArthur Blvd & Flower St), high visibility crosswalks <br />and audible pedestrian signals (APS) <br />• Bristol Widening between Warner and St. Andrew (project is under <br />construction) <br />• Improvement of park amenities, infrastructure, public safety, and an additional <br />12 FT staff for park maintenance <br />• Helped fund 11 crossing guards at 11 crosswalks out of the 45 crosswalk <br />locations <br />• Trimming of 6,460 out of 50,000 trees annually as recommended by arbor <br />standards and reducing risk of limb failures that could impact public safety and <br />infrastructure <br />• Subsidized ongoing maintenance costs of the Santa Ana Regional <br />Transportation Center, such as custodial services, security, utilities, routine and <br />preventative maintenance, and building systems that are not fully recoverable <br />through leases. <br />• 6 full-time staff for engineering and plan check = average utility plan check <br />improved from 6 weeks to 2 weeks. <br />• Adding Graffiti technicians improved the abatement response time to 24 hours <br />or less. <br />• Bristol Parking Lot Improvements project <br />• 13 new bus shelters, including replacements of benches, at high -use transit <br />stops throughout the City. <br />Measure X Success 47 <br />
