The Accessibility Challenge <br />Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and recent Department of Justice guidelines, all <br />public-facing digital content must be accessible to people with disabilities. This includes: <br />Meeting WCAG2.1 AA standardsfor all PDF documents <br />Providingequal access to information for allusers <br />Avoiding costly lawsuits and compliance penalties <br />Servingyourcommunity's 15-20%ofresidentswithdisabilities <br />According to the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) for Santa Ana, a large <br />majorityofresidentsspeakalanguageotherthanEnglishathome—primarilySpanish—witha <br />substantial share reporting that they speak English less than "very well."
