EXHIBIT 2 <br /> A=COM <br /> 3.5 Existing Pedestrian Facilities <br /> Within the project limits, sidewalks are provided on both the north and south sides of <br /> Santa Ana Boulevard, as well as the east and west sides of Santiago Street, Logan <br /> Street, and Fuller Street-Fruit Street. At the intersection of Santiago Street/Santa Ana <br /> Boulevard, pedestrian crosswalks are provided on all four approaches. Pedestrian <br /> crosswalks are also provided across the SARTC driveway, the existing Metrolink tracks, <br /> the south and west approaches of the 1-5 freeway ramps, and on all four approaches at <br /> the Grand Avenue/Santa Ana Boulevard intersection. Striped pedestrian crosswalks are <br /> not provided at Logan Street and at Fuller Street-Fruit Street. Pedestrians can cross <br /> Santa Ana Boulevard at either Santiago Street, 1-5 ramps, or Grand Avenue. <br /> 3.6 Existing Bicycle Facilities <br /> Bicycle usage is encouraged within the City of Santa Ana; however, there are currently no <br /> striped or marked bicycle facilities within the project limits. Class II bicycle facilities are <br /> planned on Santa Ana Boulevard and included in the OCTA Commuter Bikeways <br /> Strategic Plan as well as the City of Santa Ana General Plan Circulation Element's <br /> Bikeway Master Plan. <br /> 3.7 Existing Santa Ana Boulevard/OCTA Metrolink At- <br /> Grade Crossing <br /> The existing at-grade crossing is used by several passenger rail lines including Metrolink <br /> Orange County and Inland Empire/Orange County (IEOC) lines and the Amtrak Pacific <br /> Surfliner line. <br /> For Metrolink lines, the existing service schedules include the following: <br /> Orange County Line (OC) <br /> • Two trains per hour per direction in both the weekday AM and PM peak hours and <br /> 22 trains per day in each direction <br /> Inland Empire Orange County Line (IEOC) <br /> • Two trains per hour per direction in both the weekday AM and PM peak hours and <br /> 20 trains per day in each direction <br /> Amtrak Pacific Surfliner operates with one train per day in the peak hour each way and <br /> 13-14 trains per day each direction. The BNSF freight rail traffic also uses this crossing <br /> with approximately 10 freight trains per day during off-peak hours, resulting in a total of 66 <br /> trains crossing during a typical weekday. <br /> Traffic/Circulation Study—Final May 18,2012 <br />
