Carvo Approved By: <br />Date of Report: 01/14/2013 Date:01/15/13 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />CASE NAME: LEON, IGNACIO JR. <br />CLASSIFICATION: OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (NON-FATAL) <br />TYPE: INITIAL RESPONSE - CANVASS <br />AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> On December 16, 2012, at approximately 0115 hours, Orange County District Attorney <br />Supervising Investigator RON SEMAN contacted me regarding an officer involved shooting <br />involving the Santa Ana Police Department. SEMAN requested I respond to the area of 506 East <br />Washington Avenue, Santa Ana, to assist with the investigation. <br /> I arrived on scene at approximately 0200 hours and met with investigators from <br />the Orange County District Attorney’s Office (OCDA) and the Santa Ana Police Department <br />(SAPD), who were present to assist with the investigation. <br />At approximately 0245 hours, SAPD Sergeant JAY MILLER conducted a briefing regarding <br />the known circumstances of the incident for the personnel involved in the investigation. <br />Following the briefing, OCDA Supervising Investigator RON SEMAN directed me to team with <br />SAPD Detective ANDY ALVAREZ to conduct a canvass for potential witnesses.
