2025 URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN <br /> MAY 2026/FINAL DRAFT/CAROLLO <br /> 10.3 Public Participation <br /> The City encouraged community and public interest involvement in the Plan update through a public <br /> hearing and inspection of the draft document on May 19, 2026.As part of the public hearing, the City <br /> discussed adoption of the UWMP, key components of the UWMP, and the conclusions that served as the <br /> basis of the UWMP. Copies of the draft 2025 UWMP were placed for public review at the City Clerk's and <br /> Municipal Utilities Department offices. <br /> Public hearing notifications were sent to retail agencies and other interested parties.A copy of the Notice <br /> of Public Hearing is included in Appendix I. <br /> The hearing was conducted during a regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council. <br /> 10.4 UWMP Submittal <br /> The City Council reviewed and approved the 2025 UWMP at its May 19, 2026, meeting after the public <br /> hearing. See Appendix J or the resolution approving the Plan. <br /> By June 18, 2026, the City's adopted 2025 UWMP was filed with DWR and sent directly to California State <br /> Library, the County of Orange, and the cities within its service area.The submission to DWR was done <br /> electronically through the online submittal tool - WUE Data Portal.The City will make the Plan available <br /> for public review on its website no later than 30 days after filing with DWR. <br /> 10.5 Amending the Adopted UWMP or WSCP <br /> Based on DWR's review of the UWMP, the City will make amendments in its adopted UWMP as required <br /> and directed by DWR and will follow each of the steps for notification, public hearing, adoption, and <br /> submittal for amending the adopted UWMP. <br /> If the City revises its Water Shortage Contingency Plan after UWMP is approved by DWR, then an <br /> electronic copy of the revised WSCP will be submitted to DWR within 30 days of its adoption. <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />
