In the course of preparing the AWSDA each year, City staff will <br /> routinely consider the functionality of the overall WSCP and will prepare recommendations for the <br /> Director of Public Works if changes are found to be needed. <br /> 3.11 Special Water Feature Distinction <br /> Per Water Code Section 10632 (b), the City has defined water features that are artificially supplied with <br /> water, including ponds, lakes,waterfalls, and fountains, separately from swimming pools and spas, as <br /> defined in subdivision (a) of Section 115921 of the Health and Safety Code, in the City's Municipal Code <br /> Chapter 39 Article VI (Appendix B). <br /> 3.12 Plan Adoption, Submittal, and Availability <br /> Per Water Code Section 10632 (a)(c), the City provided notice of the availability of the Public Review Draft <br /> 2025 UWMP and 2025 WSCP and notice of the public hearing to consider adoption of the WSCP. The <br /> Public Review drafts of the 2025 UWMP and the 2025 WSCP were posted prominently on the City's <br /> website 14 days in advance of the public hearing on May 19, 2026. Copies of the Draft WSCP were also <br /> made available for public inspection at the City Clerk's and Utilities Department offices and public hearing <br /> notifications were published in local newspapers.A copy of the published Notice of Public Hearing is <br /> included in Appendix D. <br /> City held the public hearing for the Draft 2025 UWMP and Draft WSCP on May 19, 2026 at the City <br /> Council meeting.The City Council reviewed and approved the 2025 UWMP and the WSCP at its <br /> May 19, 2026 meeting after the public hearing. See Appendix E for the resolution approving the WSCP. <br /> By July 1, 2026,the City's adopted 2025 UWMP and WSCP was filed with DWR, California State Library, <br /> and the County of Orange. The City will make the WSCP available for public review on its website no later <br /> than 30 days after filing with DWR. <br /> Based on DWR's review of the WSCP, the City will make any amendments to its adopted WSCP, as <br /> required and directed by DWR. <br /> If the City revises its WSCP after the UWMP is approved by DWR, then an electronic copy of the revised <br /> WSCP will be submitted to DWR within 30 days of its adoption. <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />
