As shown, a total of 32,641 AF of <br /> potable water was used. The City has a mix of single- and multi-family residential water use,which <br /> account for 64.3 percent of their total potable water demand. CII use accounts for a combined <br /> 27.6 percent of total potable demand while landscape irrigation accounts for 3.2 percent of total potable <br /> demand. Other water use accounts for 0.5 percent of total potable demand. Distribution system water loss <br /> was calculated to be 4.4 percent in FY 2024-25. <br /> Despite the planned developments mentioned in Chapter 3,the City's potable demands are expected to <br /> slightly decrease in the long term due to declining population rates and continual conservation efforts. <br /> 4.1.1.2 Non-Potable Municipal and Industrial Use <br /> Table 4.1 summarizes the City's non-potable, or outdoor irrigation, water demand for FY 2024-25; a total <br /> of 294 AF was used. Landscape irrigation use accounts for all of the City's non-potable water use.The <br /> City's non-potable water demands are not expected to increase significantly in the future. <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />
