The pulmonary vasculature is without thromboembolism. <br />GASTROINTESTINAL SYSTEM: The esophagus is intact throughout. The <br />stomach is not distended. It contains 20 cc of brown to light brown fluid. No <br />portions of tablets or capsules can be discerned in the stomach. The mucosa <br />otherwise shows the usual rugal folds without any additional mucosal lesions. The <br />small intestines, large intestines, and pancreas are otherwise grossly <br />unremarkable. <br />HEPATOBILIARY SYSTEM: The liver weighs 1210 grams and the capsule is <br />intact. The parenchyma is dark red to brown in color and cuts with firm resistance. <br />The cut surfaces are smooth with a normal lobular arrangement. The gallbladder is <br />present. It contains 5-10 cc of bile without calculi. The gallbladder wall is thin and <br />pliable. The periportal lymph nodes are not enlarged. <br />HEMATOPOIETIC SYSTEM: The spleen weighs 120 grams. The capsule is intact. <br />The parenchyma is dark red and soft. There is no increased follicular pattern. <br />Lymph nodes throughout the body are small and inconspicuous. The bone and <br />bone marrow of the ribs appear grossly unremarkable. <br />URINARY SYSTEM: The left kidney weighs 130 grams and the right kidney <br />weighs 130 grams. The kidneys are normally situated and the capsules strip <br />easily, revealing surfaces that are overall smooth and congested. The perirenal fat <br />is not significantly increased in mass. The corticomedullary demarcations are still <br />well preserved. The pyramids are unremarkable. The ureters are without <br />obstruction and pursue their normal course. The urinary bladder is unremarkable. <br />It contains 90 cc of urine. <br />GENITAL SYSTEM: The prostate gland as well as the testicles are found within <br />their proper locations and are without any evidence of trauma or lesions. <br />ENDOCRINE SYSTEM: The thyroid gland, the parathyroid glands and the adrenal <br />glands are all grossly unremarkable.
