Carvo Approved By: <br />Date of Report: January 23, 2013 Date: 01/29/13 <br />Page 2 of 22 <br />On October 23, 2012 at approximately 0037 hours, SAPD Sergeant JIM ARMSTRONG <br />conducted a briefing of the known circumstances surrounding the incident for the personnel involved <br />in the investigation. <br />During the briefing, I learned Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) Deputy <br />WILLIAM BURK and his canine partner Diesel had been requested by SAPD to conduct an article <br />search of the incident scene and surrounding area. The purpose of the search was to locate any <br />weapon or other evidence that might have been discarded by GUILLEN. BURK and Diesel were unable <br />to locate any weapons or other evidence.
