S.A. 12‐022 <br />Investigator: RICHARD BRADLEY Approved By:  <br />Date of Report: 10‐05‐12 Date:  10/09/12 <br />Page 6 of 11 <br />caliber rifle serial # 480‐06192 and  a Remington 870 shotgun serial # A312421M.  The <br />Rugger had one magazine in the magazine well and two magazines in the butt pouch. <br />The chamber of the weapon was empty.  There were nine .40 Caliber rounds in the <br />magazine in the weapon.  There were eleven .40 Caliber rounds in each magazine in the <br />butt pouch.  The Remington shotgun had  an unbroken slide tape.  The chamber was <br />clear.  There were four 00 buck shot rounds in the tube.  This vehicle reportedly arrived <br />on scene after the shooting occurred. <br /> SCENE EXAMINATION <br />OCCL personnel started processing the scene at 0306 hours.  Evidence Markers (EM) <br />were placed next to items of evidence that would  be collected after the scene mapping and <br />photography.   Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) Crime Scene Investigator (CSI) MARK <br />WALDO #2332 took 142 digital images of the scene prior to my arrival and prior to the arrival of <br />the OCCL personnel. <br />The vehicle which reportedly had been driven by ALMANZA, the 2011 Jeep Wrangler, <br />was parked facing northbound just east of the concrete pad located at the east side of the east <br />structure.  The doors on the left side of the vehicle were just east of the raised concrete pad  for <br />the north laundromat rear door.  The left side tires were slightly east of the concrete pad <br />located along the east side of the east structure.  The right side tires were in the approximate <br />middle of the southbound  vehicle access lane.  The driver’s and  the left rear passenger doors <br />were open.  The doors on the right side of the vehicle were closed.    SAPD personnel stated <br />they opened the driver’s side doors when they cleared  the vehicle immediately after the <br />shooting.
