Agreement for Citywide Speed Limit Study <br />November 15, 2010 <br />Page 2 <br />Staff recommends the selection of Albert Grover & Associates, the number one ranked firm, to <br />provide the requested consulting services. Their proposal demonstrates that the firm has <br />adequate experience with similar projects, a good understanding of the project objectives, and <br />a strong project team. Albert Grover & Associates' proposed costs are significantly lower than <br />the number two and three ranked consultants. In addition Albert Grover & Associates <br />successfully completed the City's prior study for a similar dollar amount and are very familiar <br />with the City's needs on this project. <br />The consultant's cost for the study of 200 zones is $37,920. The City anticipates requesting <br />the preparation of 90 sketches for sign replacement or relocation. The anticipated additional <br />cost of the study is estimated at $2,700.
