<br /> <br />E__J <br />Heritage Orange County indicating <br />Dan Bradley; noted drawings were <br />Commission received six months <br />ten items they discussed with Mike Harrah and <br />dated March 20p1 and November 2000 noting <br />late and should not have gotten to crisis <br />management and should not occur again with any Historical building; requested in <br />the future items be brought to Commission sooner; <br />Requested a meeting with Downtown Manager to discuss bringing National Trust <br />into the area and discuss similar programs they offer such as partnership network or <br />services/loan programs; and <br />Noted he would like to see more applications for the Mills Act. <br />Commissioner Bustamante <br />• Invited Commissioners to the new exhibit at the Old Orange County Courthouse <br />titled "California Style Architecture" that will be on display for a couple of months. <br />Commissioner Rankin <br />• Announced she will be relocating outside of the city and will soon be departing <br />Commission, adding she is not yet ready to resign but will inform when the time <br />comes, and will discuss with Commissioner Solorio suggestions for filling the seat. <br />Madame Chair Kings <br />• Congratulated Charles View on his appointment; <br />• Thanked Mr. Norman for all his help and appreciation of all his comments; <br />• Reinforced Commissioner Corpin's concern and asked staff to inquire if there are <br />any potential funds for the Patricia Apartments through a rehabilitation loan; <br />• Noted the Commission in October is scheduled to discuss cultural icons; had some <br />concerns that the new plaques seem understated; would like to discuss possibly <br />having bigger, fancier plaques and see examples of plaques in Palm Springs; and <br />possibly pick-up the living history and place photos with corporate sponsor to fund; <br />requested issues be added for discussion; and <br />• Inquired on the status of hosting a future State Historic Preservation Conference and <br />the Certified Local Government (CLG) application. Mr. Edwards noted that both <br />projects are in progress and require City Council endorsement. Both items, as part <br />of the HRC objectives, will be brought back to the Commission for consideration in <br />the near future. <br />9. Excuse of Absences <br />Motion by Commissioner Bustamante and seconded by Commissioner Gartner to <br />excuse the absences of Commissioners O'Callaghan and Richardson and approved <br />unanimously by a vote of 7:0. <br />10.
