Report on Salva~ina Committee meeting. <br />Commissioner Kings informed the Commission that the Committee had met on February 16, 2000 to discuss <br />salvaging. The Committee unanimously agreed to recommend tlyat the Historic Resources Commission: 1) <br />recognize the Santa Ana Historic Preservation Society (SAHP$) as the contact group for salvaging; 2) <br />encourage salvaging of buildings 50 years or older; 3) request that staff assist in providing legal information <br />to the SAHPS; and 4) take a more active role in marketing the saWaged items. <br />2. Not cation Process for Demolition Requests of Structures 50 Years of A¢e or Older <br />To establish a notification process to the Santa Ana Historic Presgrvation Society and the Historic Resources <br />Commission for requests to demolish structures 50 years of age or older citywide. <br />
