Discussion regarding the creation of a committee to review and~evaluate salvage opportunities. <br />Commissioner Kings discussed with the Commission the creaton of a committee to discuss salvaging <br />opportunities with the Santa Ana Historical Preservation Society and other interested parties, asked from <br />volunteers of the Commission. <br />' Commissioners Giles, Cribb, Corpin, and Kings (with Brenes ass an alternate) volunteered to be on the <br />Committee to discuss salvaging opportunities and scheduled the Committee meeting on Friday, February 25, <br />2000 at 6:30 p.m. <br />4. Comments from the Executive Drrector. <br />The Executive Director was not present. <br />5. Comments from staff. <br />Mr. Joseph Edwards informed the Commission that Mr. Chazles View from Downtown Development was <br />continuing to set up the tour of the Masonic Temple and he stated that a tour of adaptive re-use was tentatively <br />scheduled for March 24, 2000. Commissioner Corpin requested that the tour be set for later in the day due to <br />her schedule. Commissioner Cribb commented that he would like to work with staff regading adaptive re-use <br />and the proposed tour. <br />6. Comments from the Historic Resources Commission. <br />Commissioner Corpin stated that she was looking forward to the Masonic Temple tour. <br />Commissioner Giles informed staff that at the previous Commissiqn meeting he had requested an update on <br />1770 North Bush and that Ms. Uptegraff was going to provide a status update. Mr. F.dwazds responded that he <br />' would verify information with Ms. Uptegraff. <br />Commissioner Kings requested that at the next Commission meet~ng, staff provide a recommendation for a <br />consultant to complete the documentation work on the remaining half of the Register buildings. She also <br />requested that staff provide the Commission with a prototype of thr document that the consultant is to prepare <br />for each property. The prototype should include a sample of the fogmats (printed and digital). In addition, she <br />requested that the map displayed at the Commissioners desk, at the Council Chambers, be replaced with a new <br />map displaying the historical districts and structures and for the same map be created as an 8 ~/z x 11 for the <br />Commissioners. <br />5. Excuse of absence. <br />Commissioner Cribb moved to excuse the absence of Commissioters Gartner, Chinn, and Bustamante.
