Set Public Hearing For_ <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Approve an appropriation adjustment accepting the 2010-11 Click-It or Ticket Mini-Grant award in <br />the amount of $8,064 into the revenue account (account no. 16514002-52001) and appropriate <br />same into the 2010 Click-It or Ticket Mini-Grant Overtime expenditure account (account no. <br />16514415-61040). <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Santa Ana Police Department has been awarded a $8,064 grant from the UC Berkeley Traffic <br />Safety Center (TSC) for the 2010 Click-It or Ticket Mini-Grant Program. TSC is under contract with <br />the California Office of Traffic Safety to administer this grant. This grant funding will allow the Police <br />Department's Traffic Division to enforce seat belt use on an overtime basis. The goal of the project is <br />to increase seat belt use state wide to 96% by June 5, 2011. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Approval of the appropriation adjustment will enhance the 2010-11 Click-It or Ticket Mini-Grant <br />Program revenue account (account no. 16514002-52001) by $8,064 and increase the same into the <br />overtime expenditure account (account no. 16514415-61040). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />(J.'a ?, V, - <br />Paul M.
