In those instances when a major system or environmental problem is detected, the <br />Vendor will promptly alert the City Telecommunications Coordinator or alternate <br />designated City contact person. <br />• In the event that the Event Monitoring Service fails to detect and alert of an <br />environmental or system condition, which causes damage to the City's equipment: the <br />Vendor shall make all necessary repairs to restore the equipment to the <br />manufacturer's specifications and full operation at no additional cost to the City. <br />5.5 Telephone Instruments <br />Part A — NEC Systems <br />The Vendor will: <br />• Service and maintain in good working condition all telephone instruments in use <br />throughout the City on all City telephone systems in accordance with the <br />manufacturer's technical specifications. This includes all Plantronics <br />headsets /amplifiers used on City telephones. <br />• Either repair or promptly replace faulty telephone instruments and Plantronics <br />headsets /amplifiers with identical OEM equipment. <br />• At all times, maintain on City premises, an adequate supply of spare OEM telephone <br />instruments of each model currently in use on the City telephone systems. <br />5.6 Training <br />Part A — NEC Systems <br />During each year of the agreement, at a time selected by the City, one equipment- training <br />course may be selected from the list below for each of three (3) persons designated by the <br />City. The courses will be provided by the selected Vendor at no additional cost to the City. <br />Courses: <br />• NEAX2400IPX Customer Administration Programming <br />• NEAX2000IPS Customer Administrative Programming <br />• Basic IP Networking Fundamentals <br />Further, the Vendor will provide additional training for any new systems that are purchased <br />by the City from the Vendor during the term of agreement. <br />5.7 Consultation Services <br />Part A — NEC Systems <br />During the term of this agreement, the Vendor shall provide, at no additional cost, <br />consultation services with regard to, but not limited to, such items as: <br />• Upgrades to telephone equipment <br />• Software options <br />• Trunk and Central Office (CO) connectivity <br />• Fiber optic installation <br />• Productivity enhancements <br />
