WIA funds under this Agreement. <br />The City of Hawthorne /SBWIB, Inc., its officers, employees, and agents by this Agreement <br />shall not assume any liability nor shall they be liable for the negligent or wrongful acts or omissions <br />or for any indebtedness or obligations of Contractor or any of its officers, employees, contractors, <br />agents or representatives thereof attributable to the services required to be performed or caused by <br />the disbursement and use of WIA funds by Contractor under this Agreement. <br />VIII -- OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT <br />Contractor agrees to provide all participants with safety and health protection which shall be <br />at least as effective as that which would be required under the Occupational Safety and Health Act <br />of 1970 as amended if the participants were employees of the Contractor. Contractor shall also <br />comply with the provisions of the California Occupational Safety and Health Act as amended. <br />IX -- COMPLIANCE WITH APPLICABLE LAWS <br />Contractor shall comply with the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Public Law 105 -220, as <br />amended; Title 20 Code of Federal Regulations Part 626 et al, Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations <br />Part 97 et al, Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations Part 225 et al, WIA Rules and Regulations; <br />applicable standards, orders, or requirements issued under Section 306 of the Clean Air Act, <br />Section 508 of the Clean Water Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, WIA Section 188, Equal <br />Employment Opportunity (EEO) (Executive Order ( E.O.) 11246, as amended by E.O. 11375 and <br />supplemented in 41 CFR Part 60, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, as amended, Age <br />Discrimination Act of 1975, amended, Drug Abuse Office and Treatment Act of 1972, as amended, <br />Comprehensive Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Prevention, Treatment and Rehabilitation Act of <br />1970, as amended, 523 and 527 of the Public Health Service Act of 1912, as amended, Single Act <br />of 1984, Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended, Promoting Procurement with Small <br />Businesses Owned and Controlled by "Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals, <br />Historically Black Colleges and Universities, and Minority Institutions (Executive Order 12928), <br />10 <br />
