In support of this vision, we will maintain leadership in creating and <br />providing quality education, training, and employment services to empower individuals to be <br />productive and independent, based on their abilities and interest. <br />2-1-1 Orange County <br />A comprehensive information and referral system linking Orange County residents to community <br />health and human services and support. Callers seeking assistance can dial 211 (toll-free) 24 <br />hours-a-day and be connected to trained, multilingual Information and Referral specialists. <br />Accessing a database with information on more than 2,000 government and nonprofit agencies <br />offering approximately 5,000 specialized services, these I&R specialists refer callers to the <br />people who can address their particular needs. <br />Community Action Partnership of Orange County <br />CAPOC changes people's lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities and makes <br />America a better place to live. The agency cares about the entire community, and is dedicated <br />to helping people help nthemselves and each other. <br />Working Wardrobes <br />Working Wardrobes, an Orange County Charity Organization, empowers men, women and <br />young adults in crises to confidently enter the workforce through career development and <br />wardrobe services. <br />Orange County One Stop Centers <br />The Orange County One-Stop Centers provides comprehensive employment and training <br />services, including a Resource Center with access to computers, fax machines, copiers, and <br />telephones. Other services include a resume distribution program; a career resource library, <br />labor market information, networking opportunities, job search workshops, on-site interviews <br />with local employers, transferable skills information, job leads, and training programs. <br />There are programs for youth, older workers, people with disabilities, adults, dislocated workers, <br />Veterans, and TANF recipients. Coastline Community College, Employment Development <br />Department & ProPath are the major Consortium members with numerous partner agencies. <br />Anaheim Workforce Center <br />The Anaheim Workforce Center is an innovative "one-stop" approach to meet employment <br />demands of both businesses and job seekers. Supported by on-line electronic technology and a <br />network of partner agencies, the Center brings employers and job seekers together at a single <br />point of access.
