Approve a funding analysis with a total estimated construction cost of $75,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />In September 2011, the Friends of Santa Ana Zoo received a donation of $75,000 from the McBeth <br />Foundation to refurbish the asphalt and decomposed granite walkways and service roads <br />throughout the Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park (Exhibit 1). The walkways and service roads have <br />been maintained over the past 20 years with temporary patches and fixes. Replacement or <br />permanent repairs are needed to provide safe access to the zoo for the public and staff. This <br />project provides for the reconstruction of the walkways and service road. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on January 18 and 19, 2012, with outreach efforts to 17 <br />Santa Ana contractors. Bids were opened on February 7, 2012.
