of 16, molestation of a child under the age of 18, and oral copulation with a child under the age <br />of 16 when he was over the age of 21. The seventh individual has additional convictions for <br />sexually penetrating a child under the age of 16 and orally copulating with a child under the age <br />of 16 when he was over the age of 21 . <br />C. Other sex acts against minors <br />The fiollowing is a summary of the remaining convictions for sex acts against minors of varying <br />ages. Three sex offenders committed ongoing child sexual abuse against children of <br />unspecified age. Thirty were convicted of misdemeanor child annoyance. Four of the 30 <br />molesters also have convictions for indecent exposure, and one of the thirty also orally <br />copulated with a minor under the age of 16 when he was over the age of 21 . <br />Two men orally copulated with minors under the age of 16 years. One of the two also <br />sodomized a victim under the age of 16, and the second offender was over the age of 21 at the <br />time of the offense. <br />Three contacted minors of unspecified age for the purpose ofi committing sexual acts. <br />Two individuals possessed child pornography, one of whom was also a seller or distributor of <br />the pornographic material. <br />Sex Crimes Against Adults <br />There are 33 registered sex offenders residing in Santa Ana for sex crimes against adults. <br />Five of the 33 individuals committed sexual offenses against mentally vulnerable victims. One <br />of the five orally copulated with a drugged victim, and another sexually penetrated a drugged <br />victim with a foreign object. Two of the five offenders raped victims incapable of giving consent. <br />The fifth sex offender orally copulated with a victim who was unconscious of the nature of the <br />act. <br />Thirteen of the 33 sex offenders were convicted of forcible rape. One sex offender raped his <br />victim by threat of retaliation and also committed sexual battery. Two offenders raped their <br />victims by force and also committed sexual assault. Two other offenders forcibly raped, <br />sodomized, and orally copulated with their victims. <br />Five of the 33 offenders were convicted of sexual battery. One of the five also committed a <br />second sexual battery using fraudulent representation and has an additional conviction for the <br />nonconsensual intimate touching of another for sexual arousal. <br />Eight of the 33 were convicted of sexual assault- Of these eight, two employed force or fear; <br />one sexually penetrated his victim with a foreign object by force, and another indecently <br />exposed himself- <br />Two of the 33 sex offenders used fear or force to penetrate their victims with foreign objects. <br />Unknown sex crimes <br />Six individuals are registered in Santa Ana for sex crimes that were committed out-of- <br />state. The exact nature of the sex crimes are unknown and may have been against either <br />children or adults. One, however, received an additional California conviction for indecent <br />exposure. <br />14 <br />50A-30
