As part of this transition, staff identified what equipment could <br />be used by other City departments and what is to be sold as surplus. A Request for Proposal <br />(RFP) was issued on May 21, 2012, soliciting proposals for fire equipment broker services. <br />The City received four responses to the RFP. The responses were reviewed by an evaluation <br />committee comprised of the Facilities -Fleet Maintenance - Central Stores Manager, Senior Fleet <br />Supervisor, Heavy Equipment Fleet Supervisor, and Property Control Specialist, using the <br />following criteria: qualifications in relation to specific project to be performed; specific experience <br />in surplus fire equipment brokered sales; competence and capacity for performance; timeframe to <br />complete proposed sale method; and price of service.
