REQUEST FOR <br />COUNCIL ACTION <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: <br />NOVEMBER 19, 2012 <br />TITLE: <br />RESOLUTION -- MEASURE M2 <br />COMPREHENSIVE TRANSPORTATION <br />FUNDING PROGRAM GRANT <br />APPLICATIONS <br />CITY MANAGER <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: <br />APPROVED <br />❑ As Recommended <br />❑ As Amended <br />❑ Ordinance on I" Reading <br />❑ Ordinance on 2nd Reading <br />❑ Implementing Resolution <br />❑ Set Public Hearing For <br />CONTINUED TO <br />FILE NUMBER <br />Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to submit applications for funding <br />consideration under the Measure M2 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program. <br />2. Direct staff to amend the seven -year Capital Improvement Program to incorporate the <br />Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program projects list. <br />DISCUSSION <br />The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) has issued a call for projects under the <br />Measure M2 Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program (CTFP) for FY 13/14 through FY <br />15/16. Funding in the amount of $35 million will be awarded on a countywide competitive basis <br />in the Regional Capacity and Traffic Signal Synchronization CTFP programs. <br />The City will be submitting six applications totaling $15,109,026 in grant fund requests.
