ANL <br />A. CODE ENFORCEMENT <br />1. Criminal Prosecutions <br />a. General Municipal Code Violations <br />EIAX PAM: $475 per case; $159 per hour for trial. <br />Mr, Silver and IvIx. Wright have tremendous experience in criminally prosecuting <br />misdemeanor and infxactlon violations of aaaunicipal codes. We have successfully prosecuted <br />hundreds of cases involvlag all types of code violations, from excessive noise and public offeases to <br />businesses operating without a business license and other operations violations. Out experience <br />includes handling cases from investigation and case evaluation through trial and enforcement of <br />probation. As always, we place the spent in the best position possible to recover all of its fees and <br />costs. <br />Silver & Wright proposes a AAl_M of K75 per criminal case, which includes assisdug staff <br />with the investigation, reviewing the evidence and the citation or complaint dtaftinag, appea:i;ng jr, <br />court at the au:aiga meat, and pre-trial hearing, all communications with opposing counsel and City <br />staff, and case Updates' If the case proceeds to triad, a blended hourly t ate of $159 for attorneys and <br />$100 Cot paralegals would apply to handle the trial readiness heating„ trial proceedings, and any <br />subsequent appeals or conviction enforcement proceedings. <br />b. Violations Based on "Zoning and public Nuisance Chapters (Chs. 41 and 17) <br />RATE.: $1.59 per hoot. <br />As with general code: enforcement prosecutions, we have successfully prosecuted hundreds <br />of w4ni sal. cases based on violations of Zoning regulations and public nuisance provisions, In Santa <br />Ana., rlvs would refer to crurxin?al enforcement of Chapter: 41 and Chapter 17, Article 1 (property <br />based public nuisances). <br />Criminal prosecutions lnvolving these types of violaliasrs often involve additional drafting, <br />negotiations and court appearances, as well as en.torcemant afforts to ensure probation or civil <br />compromise terms are being followed. Civil Litigation <br />R : $179 per hour. <br />Code en£otcernent actions often necessitate civil litigation to enjoin and abate nuisances, and <br />recover civil penalties. We are paTticularly ksaowledgr..able of the array of special cases and laws that apply 1:0 <br />abatement of public nuisances and the patticlular procedures that will help ensure success for our <br />clients.
