YourAutomobile m fail you and that may mean Disaster. <br />REAL ESTATE, TAX & RESORT <br />DEPARTMENT <br />788 PACIFIC ELECTRIC BUILDING <br />Honorable Board of Trustees, <br />City of Santa Ana, <br />Santa Ana, California. <br />Gentlemen: <br />In Your Reply Please Refer To <br />File No .................... <br />LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA February 27, 1922. <br />In accordance with Notice of Sale of automobile bus franchise adopted <br />by your Honorable body on January 23, 1922, the Pacific Electric Land Company <br />hereby bids One Thousand ($1000.) Dollars for the said proposed franchise. <br />Bid for the said proposed franchise is made by the Pacific Electric Land <br />Company with the understanding that in prescribing two additional streets or por- <br />tions thereof upon which buses shall be operated, at the expiration of each cal- <br />endar year, provided in section "b" of such notice of sale of franchise, that <br />Pacific Electric Land Company may not be compelled to operate such service over <br />such additional streets unless the revenues from such operation are sufficient to <br />pay all operating costs for such service plus a reasonable amount for depreciation <br />of buses, and a reasonable return on the investment in such buses; however, Pacific <br />Electric Land Company, if awarded franchise, will be willing at any and all times <br />to cooperate with the officials of the City of Santa Ana in selecting additional <br />street or streets for service, and will be willing to inaugurate service over such <br />additional streets where there is a question whether or no the revenues will meet <br />the conditions above named, in order to determine what the results will be. <br />of Sale. <br />Certified check for $1000 herewith, as required by provisions of Notice <br />Yours very truly, <br />PACIFIC ELECTRIC LAND COMPANY, <br />r� <br />dent. <br />
