below the surface grade so that the base sits level <br />and flush against the surface on all sides. <br />11.2 Replace Bases as directed. <br />Note: City of Santa Ana shall be responsible for supplying <br />all necessary base anchors and /or bases to the <br />contractor as needed. <br />11.3 Replace or Remove /Level /Re- Install home plates as directed. <br />11.4 Replace or Remove /Level /Re- Install pitching rubbers as directed. <br />Note: City of Santa Ana shall be responsible for supplying <br />all necessary home plates and /or pitching rubbers to <br />the contractor as needed. <br />11.5 When given direction to complete "as directed" work, contractor shall complete <br />the directed work on the next working day. <br />12.0 Infield Turf Maintenance <br />12.1 Infield turf shall mean all sport turf in the infield, the foul territory of the infield <br />and 36" beyond the infield brickdust skin line /arc. Infield turf shall be mowed <br />two (2) times per week on Monday and Friday. <br />12.1.1 Contractor shall use a "greens" reel mower to provide "putting <br />green" quality finish cut. <br />12.1.2 Infield turf shall be cut between 1 /2" and 3/4" per staff s direction. <br />12.1.3 All turf clippings shall be collected and disposed of <br />12.1.4 Edging of infield arc shall be performed by infield sub. <br />12.2 Infield turf shall be irrigated to maximize healthy growth of the turf while <br />conserving water. Over watering will not be acceptable. <br />12.2.1 Contractor shall check and program the automatic irrigation <br />controller minimum one time per week. <br />12.2.2 Contractor shall provide any areas of the turf supplemental <br />watering using a garden hose on an as needed basis to assure a <br />high quality turf infield. <br />25A -45 <br />
