IV. PERSONNEL SERVICES <br />A. EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES <br />CMCMC promotes a drug free work place and is an equal opportunity <br />employer. PRE-EMPLOYMENT PROCESS <br />CMCMC believes that to most effectively interact with inmates and <br />provide them with quality care; all staff must be capable of clear thinking, <br />exercising good judgment and quick decision-making and have adequate <br />experience in the delivery of correctional medical services (all potential <br />employees will have at least three (3) years health care experience). <br />CMCMC also believes that it is imperative that staff members serve as <br />healthy, stable role models and exhibit sound professional judgment. <br />Therefore, once CMCMC has identified a potential employee, the pre- <br />employment process will begin. This process includes reference checks, <br />verification of licensing and credentialing. <br />C. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS <br />All CMCMC personnel are required to possess licenses, certifications and <br />qualifications appropriate to their positions. Credentials are verified with <br />the issuing institution before employment, or contracting, and are re- <br />verified annually in conjunction with regular performance reviews and <br />contract renewals.
