She has over 25 years of experience <br />in all aspects of the human resource functions in both the public and private sector with 1000+ <br />employees, both union and non - union. <br />Employment History <br />■ Consultant, CPS HR consulting <br />■ HR Manager, City of Wasilla <br />• Compensation & Benefits Manager, General Communication Corp. <br />• Pension & Benefits Analyst, Municipality of Anchorage <br />Professional Experience <br />• Direct the process of organizational planning, evaluate structure, job design and <br />manpower forecasting throughout the company. <br />• Participate in the RIF planning and implementation process; analyzing composition of <br />affected work force, determining layoff criteria, layoff alternatives, constructing <br />timelines, preparing communication materials, severance documents and planning <br />outplacement services. <br />• Establish and maintain position control, write job descriptions and classify positions. <br />• Negotiate labor contracts, mediate and resolve labor relations issues in union and non- <br />union environments. <br />• Recruit, interview, perform reference checks, select and hire all staff levels. <br />■ Establish wage and salary structure, pay policies and performance appraisal programs; <br />administer bonus, incentive and success sharing programs for all executive, exempt and <br />non - exempt staff. <br />• Conduct and evaluate salary and benefit surveys, evaluate opportunities, current <br />program effectiveness and cost containment and make recommendations to senior <br />management. <br />• Administer compensation, benefit, retirement and health and wellness programs <br />(including, but not limited to, group health, life, disability, FSA, CDHP, defined benefit <br />and defined contribution benefits); analyze program costs, utilization and participation; <br />identify discrepancies or deficiencies and recommend changes or corrective actions. <br />• Negotiate and administer contracts with all benefit carriers and write and evaluate <br />RFP's and ITB's. <br />• Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human <br />Resource functions (e.g. EEO, ERISA, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, COBRA, HIPAA and SOX). <br />Monitor exposure of the company and prepare the information requested or required <br />for compliance. <br />• Conduct employee training, benefits counseling and retirement workshops. <br />• Establish, maintain and update personnel policy and procedure manuals. <br />• Publish employee newsletters. <br />CPS HR r4CONSULTING Page 124 <br />
