to <br />t� <br />Five -Year Implementation Plan ` <br />Amended February 2003 <br />Page 41 <br />In order to satisfy the requirements of paragraph (1) and <br />subparagraphs (A) and (B) the Santa Ana Redevelopment Agency and <br />the City of Santa Ana will ensure all future projects comply with these <br />requirements. <br />It is the goal of the Santa Ana Redevelopment Agency and the City of <br />Santa Ana that very-low- income, lower- income, and moderate- income <br />units developed anywhere within the city pursuant to any of these <br />sections shall remain affordable for the longest feasible time, up to <br />and including the life of the land -use controls of the plan. <br />iv. Proportionality <br />Health and Safety Code Section 33334.4(a) requires each agency to <br />expend, over the duration of the redevelopment implementation plan, <br />the moneys in the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund to assist <br />housing for persons of low and very low income in at least the same <br />proportion as the total number of housing units needed for those <br />income groups as those needs have been determined for the <br />community pursuant to Section 66584 of the Government Code. <br />Additionally, each agency shall expend, over the duration of the <br />redevelopment implementation plan, the moneys in the Low and <br />Moderate Income Housing Fund to assist housing that is available to <br />families with children in at least the same proportion as the population <br />under age 65 years bears to the total population of the community. <br />In order to satisfy the requirements of Section 33334.4(a), the Santa <br />Ana Redevelopment Agency and the City of Santa Ana will ensure all <br />future projects comply with these requirements. <br />Page 110 of 190 <br />
