BACKGROUND <br />The Agency is in charge of implementing redevelopment within the City of Santa Ana. <br />As previously stated, the Agency is proposing to merge all six (6) of the City's <br />redevelopment project areas (Central City Redevelopment Project, Inter -City Commuter <br />Station Redevelopment Project, North Harbor Redevelopment Project, South Harbor <br />Redevelopment Project, South Main Redevelopment Project, and the Bristol Corridor <br />Redevelopment Project). In total, the Merged Project Area will contain approximately <br />4,989 acres, which comprises approximately 29 percent of the total acres located in the <br />City. Figure 1 shows the boundaries of the Project Areas, which are located throughout <br />the City primarily along major commercial corridors. Table 2 provides a summary of <br />each of the Project Areas including the current time and financial limits as described in <br />the Redevelopment Plans, as amended.
