NOVEMBER 22, 2004 <br />PAGE 4 OF 10 <br />22. Equipment engines shall be maintained in good condition and in <br />proper tune according to manufacturer's specifications. <br />23. To the extent feasible, gasoline powered equipment shall be <br />used for onsite and offsite construction activities. <br />24. In the event unknown cultural resources are encountered during <br />construction operations, all construction activity within the <br />immediate vicinity of the discovery shall halt and the City's <br />Environmental Coordinator shall be contacted for appropriate <br />action. <br />25. Any material collected shall be donated to a local <br />institution, which has the proper facilities for curation, <br />display and use by interested parties. The discovery shall be <br />described in a report, which receives sufficient distribution <br />to insure its availability to future researchers. <br />26. Prior to the issuance of a grading permit, the applicant shall <br />submit for review and approval a surface drainage/ grading <br />plan /erosion control plan, prepared by registered Civil <br />Engineer, showing the direction and means of flow to adjacent <br />streets. The plan is to include existing and proposed <br />elevations at and adjacent to all property lines. Drainage <br />routed to the street must be directed beneath the sidewalk and <br />through the curb. <br />27. All design recommendations identified in the geotechnical <br />investigation prepared by T.E.L.A., April 2003 shall be <br />incorporated into design plans and implemented during <br />construction. <br />28. Prior to grading, existing vegetation, trash, surface <br />structures and debris shall be removed and disposed off -site <br />at a legal dumpsite. Any existing utility lines, or other <br />subsurface structures, which are not to be utilized should be <br />removed, destroyed, or abandoned in compliance with current <br />governmental regulations and concurrence from T.E.L.A. <br />29. Subsequent to clean up operations and prior to initial <br />grading, a reasonable search should be made for subsurface <br />obstructions and /or possible loose fill or detrimental soil <br />types. This search should be conducted by the contractor, <br />with advice from and under the observation of a representative <br />of T.E.L.A. <br />
